EFS student caught with alcohol

A State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry student received a ticket for violating the city’s open container law at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a Public Safety Report.

Public Safety and Syracuse Police Neighborhood Safety Patrol officers observed the student with an open alcoholic beverage on public property, the report stated.

Public Safety responded to a complaint from a Syracuse University employee reporting a suspicious person at around 9 a.m. last Thursday, according to a Public Safety report.

The employee was walking to work and was approached by an unknown male who asked her if he could offer her a ride, the report stated.

The case was referred to Syracuse Police Department, according to the report.

Public Safety officers investigated a larceny complaint at the 100 block of College Place at around 6 a.m. last Thursday, according to a Public Safety report.

Investigation revealed custodial supplies were stolen from a secured storage area, the report stated.
