Car collison interrupts traffic near South Campus Thursday night

Two cars collided head-on at approximately 9:45 p.m. Thursday at the entrance of South Campus.

Two Syracuse University students were involved in the accident at the intersection of East Colvin Street and Slocum Road, said a Department of Public Safety officer at the scene.

No one was injured in the crash. Those involved in the crash returned to their residences soon after, including a female who lives on Farm Acre Road.

Three DPS vehicles and four officers responded to the accident and directed the traffic as the cars were towed at approximately 10:05 p.m.

Debris from the headlights and bumper remained on the ground following towing.

The scene was cleared by 10:13 p.m. and traffic resumed.
