Class of 2018 wide receiver Cooper Lutz commits to Syracuse

Dino Babers picked up his first wide receiver commit in the class of 2018 with Berks Catholic High School product Cooper Lutz.

Class of 2018 wide receiver Cooper Lutz committed to Syracuse, he announced on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

The Berks Catholic (Pennsylvania) High School product chose Syracuse over offers from Army, Columbia and Navy, per Scout.com and 247Sports.com. He is not ranked by either of those two sites.



Lutz becomes the fourth commit to Syracuse’s 2018 recruiting class, joining Gabe Horan, Trill Williams and Tyrone Sampson Jr. He is the first receiver in the group.

The 6-foot, 194-pound Lutz runs a 4.47 40-yard dash, per his Hudl.com profile. Per the profile, he has a 34-inch vertical, can bench press 320 pounds and can squat 455.
