Syracuse will visit Wisconsin on Nov. 29 in ACC/Big Ten Challenge

Tyler Lydon and Syracuse will face Wisconsin in the 2016 ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Syracuse will travel to Wisconsin to face the Badgers in the 2016 ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 29, the school announced Tuesday afternoon. The matchup was first reported by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein on Monday. It will be the second consecutive year that the Orange plays UW in the event.

This past season, then-No. 14 SU suffered its first loss of the season in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, falling 66-58 to Wisconsin in overtime in the Carrier Dome. Michael Gbinije and Trevor Cooney led Syracuse with 19 and 14 points, respectively, as SU fell to 6-1 in Jim Boeheim’s last game as head coach before his nine-game suspension.

The Orange faced Indiana and Michigan in the event in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
