Syracuse small forward target Tyus Battle to make official visit in late May

Five-star Syracuse target Tyus Battle will make his official visit to SU on May 22-May 24, according to Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv. He is ranked No. 10 in the Class of 2016 in Scout.com’s rankings.

The small forward will also take an official visit to Michigan this month and has visited Duke and Louisville, according to Zagoria. SU head coach Jim Boeheim and assistant coach Mike Hopkins have also visited Battle, The Post-Standard reported.

“I’d like to see him get this over with by June,” Gary Battle, the recruit’s father, told The Post-Standard. “Tyus is undecided on that.”

Battle can still take one more official visit and will choose between Kentucky, Connecticut or Ohio State for that visit, according to The Post-Standard.

The Orange has already received a verbal commitment from Matthew Moyer, a power forward in the Class of 2016. He is ranked No. 61 overall in the class and No. 11 at his position, according to Scout.
