Snoop Dogg to perform at the New York State Fair in September

Rapper Snoop Dogg will offer a free concert at this year’s Great New York State Fair.

He will perform at the Chevy Court stage at the Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 8 p.m., Syracuse.com reported Wednesday. The show will be free with admission to the Fair. It will be Snoop Dogg’s first performance at the New York State Fair, and his concert is the second act of the Fair’s “day of rap.”

Snoop Dogg has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards, but hasn’t won one. He was named Artist of the Year by Source Awards in 1994 and has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide during his career.

Snoop Dogg is currently planning the release of his new album, “Bush,” due out May 12.

The announcement comes just one day after it was revealed that rapper 50 Cent will perform at the Carrier Dome for Block Party on April 24.
