Tickets to see actor and comedian Kevin Hart perform stand-up and show an advanced screening of his movie “The Wedding Ringer” at Syracuse University sold out in three-and-a-half hours on Friday.

The 1,500 tickets sold out a few hours after going on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday at the Schine Box Office, said Alli Reich, the public relations co-director of University Union. Hart’s show is the fastest selling comedy show ever at SU, she added.

“We’re very grateful to the community and campus,” Reich said.

University Union announced Hart’s upcoming show and movie screening on Twitter Thursday.

Tickets were $10 to see Hart’s stand-up show at Goldstein Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Nov. 2. SU and SUNY-ESF students, faculty and staff could purchase up to two tickets each for Hart’s stand-up show and advanced movie screening.

There will also be a screening of Hart’s movie “The Wedding Ringer” at 2 p.m. on Nov. 2 in Gifford Auditorium. After the movie screening, there will be a question and answer session with Hart and actor Josh Gad. Tickets for the screening were free.
