Hunt ejected in 2nd quarter against Villanova

Terrel Hunt was ejected with 3:24 left in the second quarter of Syracuse’s season opener against Villanova on Friday night in the Carrier Dome.

As Hunt was being dragged to the turf by Villanova’ Joey Harmon, Dillon Lucas wrapped him up high, clashing helmets with the Orange quarterback. Hunt responded by punching Lucas in the facemask.

Four flags flew toward him, and after the game referees conferenced, he was ejected.

Sophomore Austin Wilson hurriedly took snaps on the sideline and then replaced Hunt after the personal foul.
