A freshman in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics died Friday morning.

Matthew Brodsky, a sport management major, died at home with his family after battling a brief illness, Interim Chancellor Eric Spina said in an email sent to SU students, faculty and staff.

Brodsky was a Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania native. He lived in Sadler Hall this past semester, according to the email.

Said Spina in the email: “During this very difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Matthew’s family, friends, colleagues, and the faculty and staff who knew him.”
