The object is to get as close to 31 as you can (no, not 21) without going over. Aces are 11, face cards count for 10 and everything else is at face value.

Each player is dealt three cards – two face down and one facing up. Players rotate in asking for additional cards, and if a player thinks they have a high hand (around 28), they ‘knock,’ after which everyone must add one last card to their hand. After the knock, each player lays out their hand, and the person with the lowest hand must drink a beer. If the player who knocked somehow had the lowest hand, they must drink an additional beer for being a horrible player. Anytime a player has 31 in their hand, they show their cards and everyone else must drink. Happy boozing!
